Sahara Rosa

There are fierce, warm Mediterranean winds that sweep the dunes of North Africa that blow straight into southern Italy. Those winds are know as the Scirocco (shuh-rock-oh) and by the time they reach Italy, they are a warm, humid sea breeze. We've read books and heard stories about the brutality of these desert climates but without these arid sands, we might not know how they create the beauty that surrounds them. A Sahara Rosa (Desert Rose) is born thousands of miles away from the harsh winds and heat of these dunes that are void of life and abundance. I am constantly in awe of the artistry of Mother Nature, for She knows the true path of creation. Without a desert, a rose cannot exist.
